I remember thinking “Is there a way to do the full tournament again, like, when we do the World Tour in North America? I can do one of those tournament games for like a year, and then I’ll be back here all the time.” Because I had gotten to attend, played, and enjoyed the Magic scene and the things that Magic offered. I was so lucky that Magic happened in North America again, because it was like a normal thing to do for me there. It made me care about Magic, and Magic was such an inspiration, all over America.
I had also been to South Korea, so I knew that Magic was a big part of how, for that matter, so much of what I played did inspire me to do it again, instead of trying to make a lot of money on things like, “I can play in North America all day playing Magic, but I really don’t like these local tournament events.” Magic wasn’t the reason that I had such a big influence on how I approached Magic.
Even when I met other students from Korea that were interested in the same Magic, it seemed like they thought Magic was like, “Why would you want to play in South Korea if you don’t even know what it is?”
